With healthcare costs on the rise, it is important now more than ever to support solutions that will lower the cost of care. Kentucky creates artificial barriers to entry for new healthcare organizations. Kentucky's Certificate of Need laws require proven medical providers to get permission from government bureaucrats and would-be-competitors to open a new facility, expand an existing facility, or offer a new service. These laws increase cost, drive down quality of care, and reduce access to care. They are a disaster for Kentucky's patients. This is why I am asking you to support solutions that work to reform Kentucky's certificate of need laws. It is time to support healthcare freedom and patients in the Commonwealth.
