Vote NO on Funding for Flock Cameras
Stand with Your Fellow Fort Wayne Citizens Against Flock Cameras
Call Your City Councilor
Americans for Prosperity–Indiana is calling on Fort Wayne residents to speak up and protect privacy and individual liberty in our community.
The Fort Wayne City Council is considering funding for Flock camera technology, and we believe residents deserve a full and transparent public discussion before taxpayer dollars are used to expand government surveillance. Automated license plate reader systems like Flock cameras collect and store information on every vehicle that passes by, not just individuals suspected of a crime.
While public safety is important, many Fort Wayne residents are concerned about creating a system that tracks the movements of law-abiding citizens and builds a long-term database of where people travel throughout our city. Decisions of this magnitude should not be made without strong public input, clear safeguards, and meaningful oversight.
As Fort Wayne continues to grow, we can support safe neighborhoods while also protecting the privacy and constitutional rights of residents. That's why AFP-Indiana is encouraging citizens to contact members of the Fort Wayne City Council and urge them to vote NO on funding for Flock cameras. We believe Fort Wayne can pursue effective public safety solutions without expanding surveillance of everyday residents.
