Wisconsin already has over 165,000 regulations, making us one of the most regulated states in the Midwest. This year, the Wisconsin Supreme Court granted unelected bureaucrats in Madison more power to propose rules and regulations with very little legislative oversight.
With their new authority, the Evers’ Administration is proposing a rule that would raise fees on farmers in some instances over 1,000%. For example:
- Class A Animal Market: $420 → $7,400
- Animal dealers: $220 → $670
- State animal trucker license: $60 → $370
*each vehicle permit to register $20 → $370
These costs will impact our farmers, our rural communities,
and make Wisconsin less competitive than our neighbors.
This is exactly why we need the Red Tape Reset, a set of
policies to review rules regularly, eliminate outdated regulations, and hold
unelected bureaucrats accountable.
Stay up to date on these outrageous fee hikes by emailing your legislator. Tell them support the Red Tape Reset and push back on fee increases.
