I urge you to push back on the Wisconsin Department of
Agriculture’s egregious attempt to raise fees on farmers through its new
proposed rule regarding ch. ATCP 12 (Animal Markets, Dealers and Truckers).

The Evers' Administration is proposing a rule that would
raise fees on farmers in some instances by over 1,000%. For example:
- Class A Animal Market: $420 → $7,400
- Animal dealers: $220 → $670
- State animal trucker license: $60 → $370
*each vehicle permit to register $20 → $370

These costs will impact our farmers, our rural communities, and make Wisconsin less competitive than our neighbors.

This is another important reason Wisconsin needs to adopt the Red Tape Reset proposals that require regular review of rules, eliminate outdated regulations, stop agencies from hiding huge fee hikes, and give citizens the power to hold regulators accountable.
