The prohibition of cannabis has been a failure. Collateral consequences associated with prohibition have resulted in massive damage to New Hampshire communities, families, our economy, and public trust in our justice system.

New Hampshire remains an island of prohibition in a sea of positive change. All of our neighbors have some form of legalized cannabis for adults.

Tens of thousands of Granite Staters use cannabis or cannabis products. The vast majority of these individuals are otherwise law-abiding, productive members of your local communities. These are our friends, neighbors, and family members.

As a state, we must acknowledge the wrong being committed by ostracizing cannabis users. That’s why I’m writing to ask you to support House Bill 629, relative to the home cultivation of cannabis plants and the possession of certain cannabis-infused products.

This bill is a commonsense step to roll-back the prohibition on adult-use of cannabis and cannabis products. Please support House Bill 629!

House Bill 629, relative to the home cultivation of cannabis products and the possession of certain cannabis-infused products, is a commonsense step towards ending the prohibition on adult-use of cannabis and cannabis products.

This bill allows adults, 21 years of age or older, to cultivate cannabis for their own personal use and to possess certain quantities of cannabis-infused product without fear of incarceration.

HB629 permits:
-Cultivation of up to 6 cannabis plants at home by adults,
-Possession of cannabis produced from plants,
-Possession of up to 5 grams of hashish or 300 mg of cannabis-infused product,
