Illinois Needs Innovative Energy Strategies!
Urge lawmakers to reject Gov. Pritzker’s energy bill.
The bipartisan Invest in Kids Act was signed into law in 2017 and provides up to $100,000,000 in K-12 scholarships for kids from low-income families in Illinois to attend qualified private K-12 schools that meet their needs. Donations to the scholarship program are eligible for a 75% state tax credit.
Education should be an experience that fosters the unique potential of every student. HB 4076, the Invest in Kids Act, gives students from low-income families the financial resources they need to find the best school to help them build the foundation for a bright future.
Through this program, more than 20,000 need-based scholarships have been awarded over the past 3 years, with thousands more on waiting lists vying to gain access to the program.
Without the Invest in Kids program, tens of thousands of low-income families across Illinois would not be able to afford a school that helps unleash the full potential of their children.
Unfortunately, Governor Pritzker along with some of his allies in the General Assembly have pledged to curtail or eliminate the program during the 2021 legislative session.
We need you to make sure this doesn’t happen.
Tell your state legislators and Gov. Pritzker to protect and expand HB 4076, the Invest in Kids Act, so more students from low-income families have equitable access to educational opportunity!
