In Washington, D.C. politicians will vote to pass a bill to see what’s in it. That’s not how we do things in Nebraska.
I am deeply disappointed to learn that you voted to pass a tax increase bill without knowing what’s in it. In a time of growing distrust in government and elected officials, acts like this from elected officials further erode our trust in officials.
I am asking you to refrain from D.C. style politics moving forward and, instead, put the interests of the people first by voting NO to tax increases and secret bills.
