Strikeout the Bailout!
Brewers Stadium Bill Update

The current lease for the Milwaukee Brewers is set to expire in 2030 and the team is lobbying hard to extend it. Both Governor Evers and the legislature are advocating for plans that would allocate hundreds of MILLIONS of taxpayers' dollars, some even reaching $700 million, for repairs and renovations.
WE CALL FOUL BALL!
While the state is obligated to repair and renovate the stadium through the current lease. The latest proposals are a swing and a miss. With most of the funding footed by taxpayers, Wisconsinites are unfairly on the hook for a one-sided sweetheart deal through 2050.
Under the proposal, all revenue streams, including ticket sales, suite boxes, concessions, and naming rights, flow directly to the team, while taxpayers bear most of the financial burden of the stadium.
Bottom line: This proposal is bad public policy and Wisconsinites overwhelmingly oppose it. Politicians in Madison SHOULD prioritize protecting taxpayers by striking out this irresponsible bailout.
