Kentucky families support educational freedom
Education should create an environment that empowers students to fulfill their unique potential throughout their lives continually. Parents understand better than anybody who their kids are and what they need. I am writing to ask you to listen to the growing voice of parents and families in Kentucky who are asking for a change to the current school model and support the Students First Constitutional Amendment (HB 174).
A recent Mason-Dixon poll showed that the Commonwealth overwhelmingly supported the idea of a School Choice Constitutional Amendment. Kentuckians across ages, genders, and regions support an amendment enshrining school choice opportunities into the Commonwealth’s constitution.
The state of Kentucky consistently falls short in educating our students. Our state ranks below average in testing and educational rankings. Mediocrity is not acceptable for our children. Something must change! We believe every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to flourish.
Across the nation, states support educational freedom, including Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Utah, and West Virginia. Now is the time to remove the barriers to comprehensive learning and empower families to design a learning environment as unique as their children.
Kentucky legislators are now considering H.B. 174, The Students First Constitutional Amendment. We ask that you co-sponsor and vote “YES” on HB 174 to help every student thrive. We must empower Kentucky families to put their children in a classroom as unique as they are.
