Government places unnecessary barriers on Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) practicing in the state of Wisconsin. These barriers limit highly qualified APNs from providing care and serving patients in need, and ultimately patients in Wisconsin will struggle to access quality, cost-effective care provided by APNs.
Currently, more than 25 states and Washington D.C. already allow APNs to practice independently, free from government barriers, including our neighbors – Minnesota and Iowa.
After being passed by the legislature, this now awaits the governor's signature.

The time is now to side with Wisconsin nurses!
