DHS plays a critical role in protecting our communities, from border enforcement and anti‑trafficking work to emergency readiness and national security operations. We cannot afford to lose these functions any longer.

Shutdowns don’t solve problems. They create them. They disrupt essential services, weaken our security, and make it harder for Congress to address the real challenges Americans face. I’m asking you to work with your colleagues to end the DHS shutdown and ensure these vital operations can proceed.

When Congress gets stuck in another round of political standoffs, the fallout isn’t felt in the Capitol, it’s felt in communities across the country.
