American families continue to struggle with the rising cost to fill their gas tank, cool their home, and shop at the grocery store.

The price at the pump and for home expenses began to rise before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The policies of this administration and the regulations coming out of Washington have put affordable energy further out of reach and put our country at a global disadvantage.

Skyrocketing energy prices are the True Cost of Washington, not the result of foreign conflicts.

We're seeing today that energy policy is both an economic and national security issue. We can't undo this damage overnight, but we can put America on a different path - one that empowers Americans, unleashes our vast energy resources, and ensure foreign countries will never be able to use energy as a wedge to hurt our country and our people.

The administration and Congress must act now by doing the following:
- Support the Strategic Production Response Act
- Do not implement new restrictions on fuel exports
- Pause the new EPA regulations on American oil and gas production, transmission, storage, and distribution which will worsen energy poverty and increase costs
- Restart oil and gas leases on federal lands and waters, while also approving the Keystone XL pipeline
- Waive the biofuel mandate under the Renewable Fuel Standard program
- Stop the Clean Power Plan 2.0 by abandoning the Clean Electricity Standard and other top-down decarbonization efforts

Despite this, Washington is rolling out countless new, costly regulations that make it more and more expensive to get the energy we need right here in America. All while pursuing energy deals with foreign governments.

Fact is, Americans are paying more to get less because of Washington's failures.

The skyrocketing energy prices we're seeing are the True Cost of Washington, not the result of foreign conflicts. These regulations are forcing Americans to pay BILLIONS more just to live their daily lives.

Tell Washington: END these costly energy regulations and unleash the American energy industry!
