This regulatory overload:

Stifles job growth
Drives up the cost of living
Hurts low-income families most

That’s why Americans for Prosperity is working with legislators to pass the Red Tape Reset, a package of policies that bring common-sense reform to outdated, burdensome rules.

The Red Tape Reset would:

✅ Require every rule to be reviewed every 7 years or automatically expire
✅ Eliminate old rules to offset the cost of any new ones
✅ Limit scope statements to one rule at a time (more hiding rules in a single proposal)
✅ Let citizens recover legal fees if they successfully challenge rules
