Cut Red Tape in Wisconsin
Support the Red Tape Reset
Wisconsin is the 13th most regulated state in the
U.S. and the 2nd most regulated in the Midwest, with over 165,000
regulations on the books.
This regulatory overload:
- Stifles
job growth
- Drives
up the cost of living
- Hurts
low-income families most
- Makes it harder to do business in our state
That’s why Americans for Prosperity is working with legislators to pass the Red Tape Reset, a package of policies that bring common-sense reform to outdated, burdensome rules.
The Red Tape Reset would:
✅
Require every rule to be reviewed every 7 years or automatically expire
✅
Eliminate old rules to offset the cost of any new ones
✅
Limit scope statements to one rule at a time (more hiding rules in a
single proposal)
✅
Let citizens recover legal fees if they successfully challenge rules
The Red Tape Reset has been introduced, and AFP is in the
fight — but we can’t do it alone.
