Expanding Grassroots Power Across Ohio: Our Chapter Model
At Americans for Prosperity Ohio, we believe that real, lasting change starts at the local level. That’s why we’ve adopted a robust chapter model to expand our reach into all 88 counties across the Buckeye State. This structure empowers communities to take ownership of the movement and build the grassroots power necessary to achieve the goals outlined in the Buckeye Blueprint—our strategic vision for a freer, more prosperous Ohio.
Our county chapters are the heartbeat of our organization. They serve as local hubs for activism, education, and strategic action. By decentralizing our efforts, we ensure that every Ohioan has the opportunity to engage meaningfully in shaping policy and culture in their own backyard.
What Do County Chapters Do?
Each chapter hosts regular monthly meetings focused on education and strategy. These gatherings are where ideas are shared, plans are made, and volunteers are mobilized. Chapters assist in planning, marketing, and executing strategic events that align with AFP’s statewide objectives, ensuring that our message resonates at the local level.
Chapters also play a critical role in spreading the word about AFP’s initiatives. Whether it’s inviting friends to events, sharing updates on social media, or encouraging new members to get involved, chapter leaders and volunteers help grow our movement organically.
Volunteerism is at the core of chapter activity. From event setup and teardown to advocacy trips to the State House, our members show up and take action. This culture of engagement and reliability is what sets AFP Ohio apart.
Most importantly, chapters help us maintain a reputation and culture of action. They are not just meeting groups—they are engines of change, driving the grassroots momentum we need to make the Buckeye Blueprint a reality.
By building strong, active chapters in every county, we’re laying the foundation for a more connected, empowered, and effective grassroots movement. Join us and be part of the change—right where you live!

Grassroots Activism: The county chapter may be asked to organize and lead grassroots activism efforts, such as showings of support, showings of disapproval, rallies, and demonstrations, to bring attention to issues related to economic opportunity, educational opportunities, and personal options in healthcare. Volunteer Recruitment: The county chapters will need to recruit and train volunteers to support local, state, and federal initiatives and promote policies related to economic opportunity, educational opportunities, and personal options in healthcare. This will involve building relationships with community groups and organizations, hosting training sessions, and coordinating volunteer activities.
