Repeal OVEC Subsidies
Repeal OVEC Subsidies to Reduce Energy Costs
Government subsidies have rewarded inefficiencies, hampered competition and stifled innovation. Ohioans are still subsidizing two OVEC facilities as part of HB 6 from the 133rd General Assembly, a bill at the heart of Ohio’s largest public corruption scandal in history. These subsidies are costing Ohioans roughly $450k per day. Tax payers have given $400 billion in subsidies to green-energy projects which has given money to government-favored entities, which reduces competition, shrinks energy supply, and increases energy costs.
Repealing OVEC subsidies would allow competition in the energy market which would drive down energy prices and put money back in the pockets of everyday Ohioans like yourself. These subsidies are allowing the government to prevent competition by stifling innovation without considering your families individual needs and what you can realistically afford.
Ohio can pave the way for energy reform and advocate for free market solutions by repealing OVEC subsidies.
