AFP-CO Oppose Threat to Charter Schools
Vote No on HB24-1363
The Charter Schools Accountability bill, HB24-1363 in the Colorado State House, aims to kill charter schools in Colorado and promote a one-size-fits-all approach to education.
This cannot be allowed. Colorado has a decades-long bipartisan consensus on the benefits of charter schools as part of the education mix in the state.
But now, in a 55-page bill, charter schools are under attack, facing hidden threats that could undo legal protections, cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars, give power to progressive school boards to shut them down, and basically strip the foundations out from under our charter schools.
This bill is at odds with Colorado’s decades-long bipartisan consensus on the benefits of charter schools as part of the education mix in the state and cannot be allowed to pass.
Join us in telling the Colorado Legislature, NO on HB24-1363.
