Thank You For Standing Up Against Bureaucrats!
Balancing the Scales by Adding Accountability!
In Kansas, many regulatory agencies
say that there is “no” economic impact but we all know the truth: Regulations
can be EXPENSIVE! Costs are put on businesses and individuals which are
then usually passed on to the consumer. They are also expensive to enforce, so
the more regulations a state has the more tax dollars they use to administer.
A recent study showed
that one of the best ways to reduce costs, from inflation and beyond, is to cut
through the overburdensome regulatory red tape in Kansas.
In order to restore the checks and balances that ensure a
representative government for all Americans, legislatures must be more
responsible over the lawmaking process. HB 2648 was introduced to provide
stronger protections in the rules & regulations process when agencies
submit an incomplete economic impact statement.
HB 2648 is the first step in the process to peel
back the overreach of unelected bureaucrats and put Kansans in the drivers seat
when it comes to burdensome red tape and stifling unnecessary regulations.
